Specialised Ability Centre Manchester

The Specialised Ability Centre Manchester, jointly managed by University Hospitals of South Manchester Trust and Opcare, its current prosthetic services supplier, launched in August 2014 to provide amputee and prosthetic services as a sub-regional Centre for patients from across Greater Manchester and neighbouring areas in East Cheshire, North Derbyshire and South Lancashire.

The Centre is a one stop shop for amputees within the region, providing rehab care and facilities. Prosthetic limbs are cast, measured and manufactured on site to enable a fast turnaround for delivery.

One of the core aims of the MPUA is to support patients that are under the Centre’s care.
