Things are moving super quickly now. Only two weeks from my first walk with the PPAM aid and I have my casting appointment.
As the name implied, I was expecting a real cast but instead I was scanned digitally by my proathesist. A few dots are added to the stump to help the scanner identify each area correctly as can be seen in the picture. A hand held scanner was used to bring up a 3D image of my residual limb on a screen. A super quick and simple appointment. My leg would be ready for collection the following week as long as my foot arrives on time.
I am super lucky the team at SACM have moved things quickly given how long I’ve been waiting. Literally onwards and upwards.
