The Manchester User Prosthetic Users’ Association (MPUA), welcome you to the first edition of our newsletter – MPUA NEWS, usually published quarterly but more frequently in this “Liftoff” period, leading to our Launch on 21st June 2017!
Our objective in producing this newsletter is to keep all Prosthetic Users and their Carers attending the Specialised Ability Centre Manchester (SACM) well informed about the latest changes to support and benefits available, both locally and nationally, as it affects prosthetic users, the latest news from the “world of prosthetics”, news of upcoming MPUA events, news of our efforts and endeavours, in conjunction with both the Centre’s Opcare and NHS Managements, to improve the “Patient Experience” at the Centre and finally, contributions from YOU, the prosthetic users of our Centre – let’s know your opinions!
Our newsletter is available in Reception and the other usual distribution points on the first & second floors of the Centre. It is to be picked up and read while you’re waiting for your appointment or even, take one home to read at your leisure.
